Description: Emerald Evening is #1 in Greg Hildebrandt’s exclusive series of pinups. This is the one that started it all. This was the very first painting that Greg created when he decided he wanted to do vintage pinups. Shanon, the model, is a friend of his. In the foreground, you see his brother, Tim, and an artist friend, Mark, from behind. In the background are all artist friends. This was a very difficult painting for Greg. He spent approximately two months drawing sketches before he decided on the look for this new series. This is an amazingly beautiful painting, with an amazingly beautiful girl. It hangs in Greg's home. 8x10 and 13x19 glossy photo prints and Giclées are also available of this. Giclée reproductions are created by tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of oil-based printing ink onto a sheet of fine art paper. This spray of ink, more that 4 million droplets per second, whirls onto paper spinning on a drum at 250 inches per second. Hence the name giclée, French for "fine spray."
