His use of a spotlight creates a visual that is very reminiscent of the old movies of the 40s and 50s. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she's basically naked underneath that jacket. Giclée reproductions are created by tiny jets spraying millions of droplets of oil-based printing ink onto a sheet of fine art paper.
