Description:
In 1999, Greg decided he was going to create pinup art. At 60 years old, this decision to depart from the world of fantasy, science fiction, classics, and movie posters was a real stretch. He had always wanted to try pinups since he was a little boy and saw his first Elvgren calendar in his grandpa’s basement at nine years old. In reality, there are so many different types of pinups. This is what he calls a fantasy pinup. One of his collectors purchased a dummy of a life-sized bomb at a flea market. It was an excellent reproduction and it really looked cool. The collector asked Greg if he would paint a pinup on the bomb so they shipped the bomb to Greg and he created this beautiful image for them. While Greg loved doing it, he swore he would never do another one. The reason being, painting an image on a curved surface is a bloody nightmare for an artist.
