Description:
Unique beauty, stunning eyes, and signature bangs combined make the iconic 1950's pin up model, Bettie Page the "Queen of Pin Ups".
At an early age Bettie Page found a love for drama in high school when she actively participated in acting classes. She continued her career in the Fine Arts when she ventured to study drama in NYC. On her path, she met a photographer who admired her figure and asked her to pose. Dreaming of more Bettie, found a career in modeling and posing for photographers from this very encounter.
Bettie Page's early career involved her working with a photographer to create the first of many pin-up calendars. Not long after her popularity grew! She posed for dozens of photographers throughout the 1950s and became one of the first pin up models. Her playful, sexy, and confident attitude led her to pose for Playboy in the centerfold in the January 1955 issue.
This breathtaking black board is based on Greg’s new painting for the cover for Bettie Page, published by Dynamite Comics. The innocent baby pink, clean cut bangs, and flirtatious attire create a classic 1950’s pinup image. In the background we get a sneak peak at the gorgeous model’s “classified adventure” in Hollywood!
